In Dice Legends, you pick one of three heroes: Arie the Lion Paladin, Xin the Toad Assassin, or Kuro the Crow Demon Summoner — each with different styles and ways to deploy dice in fights. Battles are turn-based; you roll a pool of dice, draw cards, and use dice values to trigger cards, deal damage, apply buffs/debuffs, or defend. Exploration involves progressing through the map, confronting enemies, looting, and upgrading your build. 

Narratively, it sets itself in a magical high fantasy world. A cataclysmic event has transformed all humans into monstrous beasts, and players follow clues about the Last Human, a mage who reshaped the world. The story unfolds as you move through different worlds, gradually uncovering lore through successful location clears, loot, and dialogue tied to your progress. However, difficulty spikes can be annoying for beginners. Moreover, the content remains limited. 

This strategy game delivers hand-drawn card art, distinct hero designs, and varied environments. There are four visually distinct worlds, each with unique monsters and aesthetic touches. The pixel art style leans detailed without being overly dense; backgrounds and map visuals are strong, helping atmosphere and immersion. The music is also notable, the original soundtrack by composer LouisF is praised for matching the fantasy tone well, enhancing combat tension and exploration mood.
