Diabotical Rogue is a premium action game from GD Studio. This lets you pilot one of three base suits and experience first-person shooting.  Fight and glide across different stages and level up your suit with every game. This roguelike nature makes every game unique, whether you switch between the suits or try different skill builds to suit your playstyle.

Despite having only three suits, the wide skill trees for each make Diabotical Rogue replayable. Plus, it features generally smooth animation. Certain parts of the game look like Roboquest, but with core gameplay elements of Overwatch 2 or Valorant.

Choose your suit and hop into action

Diabotical Rogue offers three different robot suits you can control. Chunk is a straightforward tanky shooter with mobility skills to jump in and out of combat. Eggbot is faster, with a double jump and omnidirectional dashing. The third suit is Scout, the fastest of the three, and can navigate in 3D with the hook shot. Each of these bots has their own skill trees that allow for different gameplay styles.

The game currently offers two modes: a 4-on-4 Wipeout match and a 16-vs-16 Warmup battle. The level designs are colorful and easy to navigate, with a fair emphasis on both horizontal and vertical awareness. While the levels are not particularly groundbreaking, the game’s smooth movement and accurate hitboxes make every game enjoyable. Additionally, the game comes with a Custom Map Editor.

The game could use more mech designs for added gameplay options. Also, it feels a bit more troublesome than other FPS games. The weapon types vary depending on the class, but are not consistent—you can get a different weapon next round. Lastly, the roguelike aspect made the game intended to switch between mechs each round, challenging players to switch up their strategy every so often.

Diabotical Rogue offers an engaging experience with its three distinct robot suits and diverse skill trees, allowing for varied gameplay styles. The game features enjoyable modes like 4-on-4 Wipeout and 16-vs-16 Warmup, with smooth movement and accurate hitboxes enhancing play. Though it could benefit from more mech designs and consistent weapon types, its colorful levels and Custom Map Editor provide lasting appeal, encouraging strategic play through its roguelike elements.
