Crypto’s back for alien retribution
Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed is an action-adventure video game where you play as a wacky alien invader out for revenge. Developed by Black Forest Games, this 3D third-person shooter game is a remake of the 2006 game, Destroy All Humans! 2, and is part of the Destroy All Humans! franchise.
Similar to its original version, Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed features open-world exploration and a wide variety of weapons and gear to aid you in your mission. For the remake, however, you can now enjoy various skins and outfits from the first game and even customize your flying saucer’s appearance.
Will Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed have multiplayer?
First released in 2005, Destroy All Humans! is an open-world action-adventure video game franchise that parodies Cold War-era alien invasion films. In it, you play as Crypto the alien, who’s on Earth to harvest human DNA in order to save his own race from extinction. He makes enemies along the way, however, and in Destroy All Humans! 2, he’s out to get back at the KGB for blowing up his mothership.
The original sequel takes place in the ‘60s when speculation about aliens was at its peak. As Crypto, you’ve successfully overthrown the American government and infiltrated the ranks of the humans. However, after a disastrous event, you must return to your previous mission of gathering up humans for their DNA to avoid a bad ending. The game allows for local split-screen co-op mode for two players during the main story.
In Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed, all features from the original have been retained—with upgrades and improvements to various aspects. For one, Unreal Engine 4 now powers the game so the graphics and controls have leveled up. All Crypto skins from the first game are unlockable and you can change your spaceship’s paint job, too. However, take note that its minimum storage space requirement is a whopping 50GB.
Great for old and new fans
All in all, Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed is a great remake for fans of the original that had only been available on PlayStation 2 and Xbox. While its minimum system requirements can be a bit steep, it remains true to its roots and brings back everything that fans had loved about the second game and the series. This is also a highly recommended title for new fans to dive into.
