Descendants places you in the world of Disney as a student attending Auradon Prep school alongside Mal, Carlos, Evie, and Jay. The game takes place around the events of the movie, and to join in the action you have to create an avatar and get on with school life.

After creating your character you are straight into the Descendants’s Kim Kardashian: Hollywood style gameplay. You have to walk up and down through stages to complete missions that you acquire by talking to characters: lets party, talk to other students, find objects, try not to fall asleep, the usual.

As in Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, the mechanics of Descendants is simple: click on characters or areas to complete missions. Clicks are, predictably, limited by the energy or level – so you often find yourself waiting for things to recharge.

The film in pictures

Descendants offers no challenge. However, if you're a fan of the movie you will love interacting with the characters and following the game’s story. In addition, the character editor is very comprehensive and offers plenty of clothes, hairstyles and accessories to customize your avatar.

Disney has also done a good job adapting the real actors and world of Descendants into cartoons form. Characters and environments are well recreated in the game but with monsters and other creatures blown out into impressive toy like proportions.
