Deponia Doomsday is a full version adventure game developed by Daedalic Entertainment for PlayStation 4. It is a spin-off of the canonical Deponia trilogy and follows the story of Rufus, who is determined to seek authenticity in the events of Deponia's difficulties. The game takes place on the planet of the same name, which has been abandoned by its inhabitants and is now seen as a dumpster. With a 2,5D point of view, the game features limited action options, including interacting with objects and NPCs, combining objects, and solving puzzles.

The narrative of Deponia Doomsday revolves around the planet that shares its name. All of Deponia's dwellers were ordered out to Elysium, and the planet is now a dumpster for their waste. Rufus, the protagonist, is determined to get in touch with Deponia and continue his father's legacy. However, his ship crashes, and he ends up inhabiting Organon, the ship responsible for dropping toxic waste on Deponia's surface. Rufus is now on a mission to uncover the truth behind Deponia's difficulties.
