There are other sides to Darkspace, but essentially it is a space battle game. The graphics are a little dated because Darkspace was first created in 1993, but there are more controls to master than on a Booing aircraft; it is not basic fly-and-shoot game. You may enjoy the game if you prefer a 360 degrees view rather than a cockpit or dogfighter view. Learning the in-game mechanics because the tutorials only cover the flying and shooting elements of the game. There are also very few people on the Darkspace servers to play against, to battles may be few and far between. Your best bet is to get your friends interested and play against them.
