Dark Stories: The Workshop is a free atmospheric horror game developed by Voodoolew Studios. Here, the nameless protagonist used to work the graveyard shift at an automobile workshop, where he met his colleague named Gary. However, something was amiss when the protagonist arrived late at work.

Play with or without VHS effects 

Dark Stories: The Workshop lets the player enable or disable VHS effects, though doing the former ramps up the game’s creepy factor. At first, you’ll fumble in the dark until you find a flashlight, making the place brighter. There are notes and items scattered around the workshop, too. 

Ultimately, your goal is to escape the workshop and avoid the clutches of an unseen bloodthirsty entity. Failure to do so will bring you back to the beginning of the game. As it’s a short title, do expect to beat it in around five to 10 minutes.

If you love short horror titles, consider trying out Dark Stories: The Workshop. While the premise is simply about escaping the workshop and avoiding an unknown entity, take note that dying will force you to start from the beginning, which players can find frustrating.
