In the beginning of Cowboys vs Monsters, the town’s miners are doing their job, digging for natural resources for the sake of the town, until they unintentionally open the gates of the underworld. So, you must defend the town against these creatures from the chasm. Utilize the seven cowboys, each with distinct mastery in specific weapons, including knives, bows, and guns. 

Another way to stop unrelenting hordes of monsters is the power cards granted to you each time you level up by gaining experience. Using these cards, you can gain attack speed, regeneration skills, or elemental abilities — which are all helpful when dealing with each boss. Use these cards effectively to gain the upper hand and proceed to the next level. 

Speaking of levels, there are four stages with five paths characterized by different kinds of terrain in this game, namely grass valley, desert, mountain top, and inside the mines. Sometimes, these levels have obstacles that can hinder you from positioning cowboys in certain areas. You must shoot those spaces to make room for other heroes. Unfortunately, this game only supports English.
