The App has the following features:

Random ID Exchange

A Random ID is a number that generates itself every 10 to 20 minutes. Once an individual receives a positive COVID-19 diagnosis, they will receive a call from the local health department for case investigation and contact tracing purposes. If they have the App downloaded, a 6-digit validation code will be sent to them via SMS/text message and they will be able to upload their Random IDs to a DOH diagnosis keys server.

Exposure Alerts

If a user who has the App downloaded receives a COVID-19 diagnosis, they will receive an Exposure Alert notification.

Notification to users

If you have been in close contact with someone who has a COVID-19 diagnosis, you will receive an Exposure Alert. If the individual with the diagnosis has the App downloaded, the app will download the latest diagnosis keys from the server every four hours and check for matches.
