Contractors Showdown is a premium action game for PC from developer Caveman Studio. In this first-person virtual reality(VR) shooter, players will engage in a massive battle royale across various unique locations to be the last one standing. It boasts multiple distinct locations and a wide variety of weapons to loot and use in fights.

Similar to other shooters like Squad or Arma Reforger, Contractors Showdown lets players team together and defeat other groups in intense tactical combat. It features a large explorable map with unique layouts and environment situations that they can traverse using vehicles.

Immersive battle royale

Contractors Showdown is an online multiplayer VR shooter that lets you participate in a fast-paced and thrilling battle royale with up to 60 players at a given time. You play as the titular contractor, and you can either play solo or form a team of three to fight other players. Customize your loadout, communicate via spatial voice chat to work together, and be the last man standing.

The game takes place on a 16 square-kilometer map that is divided into multiple biomes that feature unique terrain. Scout the land and use buildings, hills, and other structures to gain a tactical advantage during encounters. From your headquarters, gain access to a diverse set of weapons and gear to customize your loadout to suit your playstyle before deploying into battle.

Being a VR title, get an immersive experience with fluid movement while rappelling rock formations and realistic gun mechanics whether you're using a pistol, sniper rifle, or SMG. Unfortunately, Contractors Showdown suffers from various problems, including performance issues and various bugs like getting stuck in walls and the ground for no reason. Hopefully, they will be addressed as soon as possible.

Fun but flawed

There is plenty to like about Contractors Showdown with its vast map and the various ways to set your loadout to suit your playstyle. Solo is fun but team gameplay is where the game shines. Sadly, all of that gets overshadowed by performance shortcomings and near-game-breaking bugs that need to be addressed first. Until then, you're better off playing something else.
