Cockpit Side´s (Singelplayer) Mod is a demo version game utility developed by modder lpmaster1996 for Star Wars Battlefront II. It contains a whole set of 3D maps centered around creating a custom experience, putting you in the center of The Clone Wars, a pivotal event in the Star Wars universe. It also intends to create a scenario for the Galactic Civil War, although the maps are not yet fully available.

Experience the Clone Wars from both sides

The premise for Cockpit Side´s (Singelplayer) Mod revolves around the Clone Wars and the following Galactic Civil War. Fans of the Star Wars franchise already know the first one, featured mostly in the film and animated series of the same name. Its second, still unfinished campaign, is expanded in the Original Trilogy (Episodes IV to VI). For Battlefront, you play between the two factions: the Republic and the Confederacy.

It also features a good variety of content, from costumes and weapons to the details you can add to your character. It allows you to enjoy an immersive feel, starting with your choice of a specific character class. You can be a standard Clone Trooper, the distinctive Clone Commander, or the stealthy Shadow Trooper. Each of these classes comes with a starting weapon and skill set, perfect for different gameplay styles.

However, its main restriction is its condition. As mentioned, the Galactic Civil War section of the game remains incomplete, leaving the players unable to pursue their own version of the climactic event. Also, it comes with its own console for custom commands, although the Fake Console has been reported by players to be buggy at times. In some cases, commands don’t work or they don't appear at all.

A great, clone-based mod

Cockpit Side´s (Singelplayer) Mod is a great mod for fans of the clone troopers in more ways than one. First, it focuses on two pivotal events in the franchise, one ready for full play while the other remains in development in this demo version. Second, it features different character classes and customization options, especially among the clones. However, the second campaign and the console needs could still use some work.
