Caplo: AI Live Captions is a free-to-try mobile AI productivity application by developer Shanghai Spark Light Technology Co., Ltd. It is a live captioning tool that lets users process and display captions in real-time. It works on a wide selection of apps and games, and supports over 60 languages. There are different subscription options available to unlock additional functionality and options. 

Captions on the spot 

To get started, open the app you want captioned and start Caplo’s screen broadcast function. It will then listen for sound and speech and automatically display captions in real-time. It boasts a Picture-in-picture mode (PiP) so you can still read captions while doing other things, which is quite handy. However, you can also use the built-in microphone to transcribe live speeches and conversations. 

Everything is saved to your device and synced to your iCloud account so you can review, listen, and share them with others. A few things to take note of, though. One, you will need an active internet connection to use it, so no offline mode here. Two, while it works well, it can still struggle with too much background noise.
