Cannonball Crew, developed by the indie developer Sweetbeard for PC, is a massively multiplayer action game inspired by capture-the-flag and treasure hunting. This fast-paced title splits players into two teams and lets players participate in a thrilling combat of seizing, securing, and defending their stash. 

Illustrated in realistic 3D graphics, Cannonball Crew offers a team-based and competitive playthrough that delivers a combat-focused experience, perfect for players fond of cooperative and PvP gameplay. This tactical title features melee, ranged, and platforming mechanics and explores various themes, such as piracy and land-based naval battles. 

Seize treasures, imprison opponents, rescue teammates 

Cannonball Crew fuses cooperative treasure hunting and competitive flag retrieval, bringing a fast-paced, pirate-based experience, making it the perfect title for action-focused gameplay enthusiasts. Set in various environments, players must form a team opposite one another and compete in a match in which victory is secured by gathering a larger number of treasures than the opposing team at the end of the battle. 

Each team must rush to the center of the map to seize the treasure chests along the border and bring them back to their respective camps. A selection of players from each team must protect their stash while the rest must try to snatch the opposing team’s chests. Use swords for short-range combat, canons for long-range, and harpoons for capturing enemies. 

If the opposing team captures a teammate, the team must rescue that teammate since trespassing on enemy territory reveals one of their hidden treasure chests on the map, and vice versa. However, the game does not mention difficulty settings, leading to a possible matchmaking system issue. Moreover, imprisonment mechanics might cause frustration if players are held for too long, preventing them from enjoying the game.
