Call of Duty: Black Ops III - Zombies Chronicles adds eight classic zombie maps to Call of Duty: Black Ops III.

Zombie warfare

Zombie maps were introduced as an afterthought in 2008’s Call of Duty: World of War. Since then, they’ve gone from bonus material to being a major part of the series. This DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops III adds the original zombie levels from Call of Duty: World at War as well as additional levels from Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Each of the eight levels is remastered in HD, with new models, textures and lighting. Even the audio has been overhauled – the developer went as far as to record new zombie screams to enhance the nightmarish ambiance. Beyond the stunning cosmetic improvements, the levels have been updated with modern gameplay: This includes the addition of buffs and upgrades, adding a new twist to older levels.

Lacking content

Although the remaster has been completed with care, some players might find eight maps a little light in terms of content. The limited number of maps also means some fan favourites didn’t make the cut. So, if you were hoping to play a supercharged version of Mob of the Dead, you might have to wait for a future release.
