BriefTime is a free AI productivity app that turns daily articles, RSS feeds, and documents into short, podcast-like audio briefings. It allows you to skip the endless scrolling and reading through bulky news feeds, so you can stay updated with the latest stories in just a few minutes.

Like listening to real news hosts

BriefTime isn’t just some robotic text-to-speech app. It presents briefings as normal, human-like conversations between two AI hosts. It feels like listening to two experts discussing the latest news. However, since it just summarizes, it lacks the context of actually reading full articles.

Its background playback feature is pretty handy because it keeps playing even if you lock your phone or switch to another app. Also, you get to choose the topics you're interested in, so the news is always tailored to what you care about, and irrelevant stories are filtered out.

Saves you time from reading full articles

Overall, BriefTime works best for quick daily updates if you just want the main points without wasting a lot of time scrolling through news feeds. It’s not really meant to replace reading full articles when you need all the details, but it’s great for staying in the loop quickly.
