Bloomberg provides news, generally business-focused, on a variety of topics. Its memberships are affordable and often not needed for its content, and although it is mostly a business news source, Bloomberg's articles have a snappy, readable tone that makes them more useful and understandable to those who aren't businesspeople. The app's only problems are difficulty finding articles written for countries other than the one where you're located when you install the app, and a bit of slowness.
