Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a full version exploration-focused, side-scroller action RPG game developed by 505 Games for the PlayStation 4 platform. The game follows the story of Miriam, an orphan who is cursed by an alchemist, slowly crystallizing her body. To save herself and humanity, Miriam must battle through a demon-infested castle summoned by Gebel, her old friend whose body and mind have become more crystal than flesh. The game features a gothic dark fantasy style story, tight and satisfying gameplay, and a game soundtrack by genre veteran Michiru Yamane, performed by a full live orchestra ensemble. Additionally, the game boasts of story cut scenes and NPC interactions that are fully voice acted by a star-studded cast, including David Hayter, Ray Chase and Erica Lindbeck. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night also features a total of three playable characters and a plethora of weapons and spells that players can upgrade, level up, and visually customize. The game's 2.5D graphics are beautiful with 3D models crafted with a lot of love and care on a 2D game environment, allowing for lots of cool tricks that "regular" 2D can't do.
