Blood Runner is a bloody hilarious 3D survival video game wherein you need to stay alive in the face of various deadly obstacles trying to kill you as you sprint to your next chance at life. Developed and published by Creative Black Chair, this action game pits you through several levels that you need to safely traverse completely to win and stay alive longer. As it so happens, your hapless clumsy character comes outfitted with a collar that will explode if your timer runs out. This quirky game will have you running around a world full of 3D death and dismemberment.

Blood Runner is a game reminiscent of side-scrollers and platformers which have timers on the screen. Similar to the premise of Super Meat Boy, the game will face you up against hazardous obstacles, like lasers, that are either stationary or moving and shots from every direction. Despite its 3D nature, going around obstacles still won’t be easy. Most of the obstacles are scattered everywhere. Some are even blocking your way to an important glowing powerup. 

 Speaking of powerups, there are four types of these important in-game bonuses at every level. Each powerup can affect how you fare in the game. There are the health kits and stamina tablets which heal you up and replenish your strength to sprint. Being hit by the projectiles can take a chunk out of your health, that is why health kits are important. Lasers, however, can directly cut you, requiring you to restart from your last checkpoint. 

But, the two most important powerups are Time Dilation and the batteries. The batteries will extend your collar’s life, giving you more time before the explosion. Time Dilation powerup, on the other hand, will slow down the seconds to give you more time to complete the level. If you like challenging games, this is a good recommendation.
