Blizzard celebrates its 30 years in the industry with Blizzard®'s Arcade Collection. In this collection, players can play three SNES classics from the early years of the company.  Not only that, but you can also play these arcade games for free on your computers.

Blizzard®'s Arcade Collection includes three of the original Blizzard games in the package. The latest patch adds two more games upon update. Each game will also have good modernization. Additionally, there will be a museum collection with video interviews. However, fans will find that having a lot of content made the collection superfluous. 

What games can you play?

As mentioned, Blizzard®'s Arcade Collection puts three of the classic arcade game from the early years of Blizzard. These are 1992's The Lost Vikings, 1993's Rock 'N Roll Racing, and 1994's Blackthorne. Although, as mentioned, recently the company expanded the collection of classic games by adding Lost Vikings 2 and RPM Racing to the mix. If you own the collection, you will get the two titles through a free update.

As an added bonus, the collection brings modernization to the games. For one, The Lost Vikings now has the added ability to rewind and correct errors.  It also offers both the SNES and Mega Drive/Genesis versions of the game. There is also the Definitive Edition has extra levels and three-player support. However, it lacks some major features, including save states, screen size or border options, and filters.

The Rock 'N Roll Racing Definitive Edition has been remastered into a full widescreen experience. The graphics are also enhanced subtly without defacing the original content. Finally, Blackthorne sticks to the much narrow pallet. However, like The Lost Viking, the Definitive Edition lacks the quality-of-life supplements. Nonetheless, fans will love the museum section, which displays concept arts and photos of the team set up in the 90s. 

Should you get it?

All in all, Blizzard®'s Arcade Collection is a Blizzard fan's must-have. With this, you can play three classic arcade games in one package, five if you get the patch. Each of the games also comes with lots of modernization. However, these updates made the games too cluttered. As a result, you need to start every game a few times to work out the title you want to play.
