Bibots is a top-down shooter roguelike that takes players on an epic journey to save a world ridden with robot enemies. In this action game, players will take on the role of Tayar, who has the ability to transform into a mechanical creature himself. 

With various types of Bibots — the aforementioned creatures — that you can imitate, you’ll also be able to discover each of their strengths and find the playstyle that’s right for you. As you progress further into the game, you’ll also be able to unlock more abilities that can help you survive in this bullet hell.

A colorful world with a dark past

With procedurally generated regions and battle rooms, treasures, merchants, and secrets that change for every new round you play, Bibots gives each player a unique experience that feels like no other. The ability to choose your robot companion and equip your character with a variety of different weapons also grants you a number of various ways to customize your gameplay experience, especially against certain waves of enemies. 

Players can collect more unique weapons and items as they win more rounds and explore new areas. Over time, you’ll be able to improve your skills and strengthen certain skill branches to focus on your chosen role — whether it’s to be a survivalist, a soldier, or a scientist. The game’s stunning visuals also pair well with the fast-paced gameplay, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in this colorful fictional world.

However, despite all of these merits, the game could still use some improvements to allow players a more engaging experience. Most notably, the game’s difficulty levels aren’t properly balanced, with some rounds ending up too easy while others are unnecessarily difficult. Furthermore, certain enemies — both boss and standard mobs — can experience some visual glitches, making it difficult to properly aim in their direction. 

An adorable action-packed game

Bibots dazzles with its unique gameplay mechanics, extensive character customization, and thrilling combat elements. Its procedurally generated nature ensures that each run is different from the last, so you don’t get tired of the game too quickly. While there are some issues to be addressed in terms of level imbalances and visual glitches, this unique title  stands as a promising and distinctive addition to the roguelike genre
