Street brawl survivors-like game

Beatdown City Survivors is a premium action PC game from developer NuChallengers. It is a Survivors-like roguelike adventure in which players take to the street to beat down waves of the undead. The game features various unlockable characters and a variety of unique weapons that offer different play styles and effects.

Zombie beatdown

Beatdown City Survivors takes place in New York City, wherein a virus outbreak has turned the population into the walking undead. Play as a remaining survivor and fight against waves of zombies. Fight around real-life locations like Times Square, the subway line, and more.

Beatdown City Survivors has various weapons, wherein you can use objects to fight the undead. Unlock over 100 weapons, ranging from bats to boots. Combine them with unique abilities and passive bonuses to create different builds. However, the game is still in active development.

More beatings and bug fixes

The game's demo has provided players with a fun preview of what they can expect with the full version. Recent updates have come to improve the experience further and provide much-needed bug fixes and even new features for those who haven't tried it yet, highlighting a new Mission Ticker, making it easier to keep track of what needs to be done during runs.

Other notable changes in this game include decreasing the number of vans on the map to allow for more survivor and cop spawns to be possible, and auto-attack now auto-targets, as well. The UI has also received some nice tweaks and helpful text prompts and descriptions to help players navigate menus and locate specific character screens, such as for Heather and Abbey.

The last thing worth mentioning in the most recent update is the introduction of a new Luck character stat for players to upgrade and integrate into their builds. This attribute affects a variety of things, like the chances of finding items, as well as triggering Crits and Dodges during fights. These are just some of the changes you can look forward to as you jump back into the game or even play it for the first time.

Demo extended with new character

The developer has announced Demo Update #2, featuring the addition of a brand-new playable character — a Judo Fighter named Julie Chu. A female judo master with a devastating 360° melee attack and a damaging roll move, Julie excels at crowd control, and her unique skill boosts the area of all her attacks. To unlock her, you’ll need to play as Lisa, Brad, and Bruce for at least five minutes each.

This update also makes unlocking Heather and Abbey easier, improves mission progress carryover across runs, and brings several quality-of-life tweaks, like localized UI elements, a toggle for the Now Playing box, and newly added control options. Plus, plenty of bug fixes and performance boosts round out the patch. This demo is now extended for a few more weeks, so jump in and try out the latest features.
