Batora: Lost Haven is an interplanetary action RPG that combines the features of a hack & slash and a shooter with two controls in a nonlinear narrative-based game. The game revolves around Avril, a 16-year-old girl who lost everything she loved due to a mysterious event that devastated Earth. Now, with her physical and psychic powers, she is the only one who can try to save her planet.

The game features a physical/psychic duality where the player must find the perfect balance between body and mind to face the challenges and puzzles that arise along the journey. The game features a double health bar that displays both physical and psychic health, and if the player loses sight of either, they will lose the game. The fate of the universe depends on the player's choices, and the line between good and evil is thin.
