Bagha Chal is a two-player board game that is played on a special 5x5 grid. The game consists of 4 pieces representing tigers and 20 pieces representing goats. The objective of the game is different for each player.

In the first phase of the game, the goats are placed on the board while the tigers are positioned at the corners. Only the tigers can move during this phase. Once all the goats have been placed, the second phase begins and both tigers and goats can move.

Movement is limited to one step in any upward, downward, left, or right direction for both tigers and goats. However, tigers have the unique ability to hop over an adjacent goat and capture it by moving into a vacant cell beyond. Goats cannot hop or capture tigers, and tigers cannot hop over other tigers.

The game is won by the goats if they successfully prevent all tigers from being able to move. On the other hand, the tigers win if they capture all the goats or prevent them from being able to move.
