Backrooms: Apprehension is a premium action game for PC from developer DMNT Interactive. It is a Backrooms-inspired multiplayer survival experience featuring horror and social deduction elements for its gameplay. In it, scientists find themselves trapped inside the backrooms, and they must figure out who among them is a flesh-eating, shapeshifting monster before they get devoured. 

Monster among you 

Backrooms: Apprehension, you unwittingly participate in a deadly game of deception and survival. Supporting up to 12 players, you must work together to scavenge for supplies and weapons to defend yourself and identify a shapeshifting monster among you. On the flip side, you can play as the tormenting Skin Stealer and kill every single scientist before they escape or expose your true identity. 

The game also features proximity voice chat to make communication easier and in real-time. However, be wary that the monster might be among you and overhear you. All that said, the game doesn’t have a matchmaking feature built in, so you need to have enough players join to get anything started and get a chance to play at all. 

A cool twist 

All in all, Backrooms: Apprehension is a nice twist to the popular Backrooms sub-genre of games. The combination of horror survival and social deduction makes for a fun and engaging time you can enjoy with friends and family. Just make sure you have enough players participating, and you’ll be good to go. Recommended.
