Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land is a single-player role-playing game that invites players to a new story in the JRPG franchise, Atelier. In this new addition, you’ll step into the shoes of an alchemist, Yumia, as she finds out about her past, memories, and the reason why being an alchemist is taboo in their town. 

In Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land you have an arsenal of weapons that you can use. Similar games include Rune Factory 5 and The Legend of Heroes: Trail in the Sky.

Play as an alchemist 

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land’s story begins when the Aladissian Empire, which was once thriving met its end due to a mysterious cataclysm. As years passed by, alchemy became a taboo in the empire and deemed evil. Meanwhile, an alchemist named Yumia visited the empire after finding out that she was from a family of alchemists.  

Yumia is on a journey to seek answers about her identity when she discovers that being an alchemist is not allowed in the Aladissian continent. With this, she’s more persistent in knowing everything that happened in the empire, from what destroyed Aladiss to why alchemy became taboo. In this game, you’ll play as Yumia and you will join the Aladiss Research Team as you investigate the incident that happened in the empire. 

Here, you’ll have close and ranged combat that you can use. Players can also craft items by controlling the mana residing in materials that they will use. Additionally, you can build a base or a building in the game as well that suits your liking. In this installment, you are allowed to change characters at any time during battles too. However, as the game focuses on exploration, it doesn’t offer a character development feature.
