ASTHMAXcel is a fun, easy to use, and free app designed specifically for patients with asthma. Available for both smartphones and tablets, this app has undergone clinical testing and has been proven to increase asthma knowledge, improve asthma control and quality of life, and decrease asthma emergency department visits and hospitalizations. Developed by a team of asthma physicians, software programmers, behavioral scientists, and an animation studio, ASTHMAXcel offers a comprehensive approach to asthma management.

The app features interactive modules and chapters, as well as short, animated videos to teach users about asthma and its management. Topics covered include how asthma affects the airways, when and how to use different inhalers, proper use of a spacer, and ways to reduce environmental triggers at home. Additionally, a pediatric version of the app called ASTHMA Adventures is soon to be released, which includes interactive movies, games, and quizzes to engage children and their parents in learning about asthma.
