Arena of Myth is a pay-what-you-can action game created by OneScreenPseudo as a fan game project for HololiveEn. It takes players into various arenas, wherein they will fight swarms of enemies. The goal is to take down the arena boss to unlock a new arena. There are five characters available to play, each one comes with unique abilities. However, to avoid installation and performance issues, be sure to have the appropriate Visual C++ Redistributable packages installed.

How do you play the game?

Arena of Myths plays like any platformer game, coming with various levels which you need to clear for you to unlock the next arena. Each arena will have swarms of enemies and a boss at the end of each level. In addition to eliminating enemies, it's also your goal to catch all the KFP members scattered throughout the arenas. These KFP members look like chickens, and you can use them for a further in-game character shop update.

Controls in Arena of Myths are easy to remember. The arrow keys are for movement. The A key is for attacks, the D key lets you guard against attacks, and the S key is to jump. To access the settings, click F1, and the space bar to select options. There is a progress bar at the top, which tells you if you close to clearing the level. Your health bar is displayed on top of your avatar's head.

As mentioned, there are five playable characters in the game, namely Kiara, Calli, Gura, Am, and Ina. All of them are characters of virtual YouTubers from Hololive. You can play the game solo or team up with other players to gain morale points and easier victories. There are only four stages available. However, once unlocked, you can play any of the arenas again and challenge yourself to get a better score. 

Short but addictive

Overall, Arena of Myths gives players what they expect from an action-platformer game. Its control and gameplay are easy to learn, allowing you to get to the action at once. Each of the arenas is also challenging, giving you hours of entertainment. Moreover, it lets you play by yourself or with other players. However, the runtime is rather short, with only four arenas available.
