Arena of Kings is a free-to-play action game developed by Villain Games LLC for PC. It is an online fantasy-themed MMORPG arena brawler with an emphasis on PvP matches. In it, players will engage in fast-paced battles utilizing a bevy of magical spells and ranged attacks.

Similar to Dota 2 or Battlerite, matches in Arena of Kings are team-based and rely heavily on teamwork and communication to win against the opposing theme. Also, its map levels tend to be wider and more open, akin to the gladiator coliseums of old, with fewer obstructions and a clear sight of enemies.

Conquer the arena

Arena of Kings is basically a PvP-focused MMORPG that takes place in coliseum-like arenas. Battles are team-based and are done in 3v3 matchups. You get to choose between 10 character classes, with more than 150 spells at your disposal. You have a maximum of eight skill slots to fill up and take with you to the fight. Start a new game via Solo Queue or join others with Flex Queue. 

Battles in this game are held in arenas similar to old colosseums where gladiators fought. Its open layout and features nothing more than a few pillars and bridges contribute to the frantic gameplay. You will need to communicate and work together with your teammates in order to best the opposing team. The first strike will determine the initial flow of the match and give you a tactical advantage.

Earning consecutive victories will increase your team's Bounty Value. Rise through the ranks and be chosen to take part in the King's Ascent, a tournament held for the two most dominant teams, with epic rewards up for grabs to the winner. One important thing to note is that there has been a steady decline in active players in the game—a rather big deal since it's primarily an MMO title.

Rise up the ranks

Arena of Kings is a decent MMORPG that focuses on fast-paced team PvP matches. There are different character classes to choose from and plenty of skills and magic spells to mix and match depending on the situation. Active player count is on the decline, though, but hopefully, things pick up after long. Nevertheless, it's free and is worth a try if you like these types of games.
