Arcadian Atlas is a premium role-playing title made by Twin Otter Studios for PC. It's a tactical RPG that features strategic turn-based combat and is set during medieval times. It tells the story of two lovers brought together by war and torn by the greed and ruthlessness of their kingdom.

Similar to classic titles like Wasteland 2 and Fallout 2, Arcadian Atlas is a top-down isometric game that features pixel art style and graphics. It boasts a large map with multiple areas, ranging from forests to deserts, as well as towns and kingdoms to explore.

What's it about?

Arcadian Atlas takes place in the fantastical world of Arcadia wherein a kingdom is on the brink of collapse from within and from a looming dark force that threatens its safety. You play as two lovers torn between internal conflicts between a queen they vow fealty to and an illegitimate daughter vying for the throne. Thus begins a civil war that will reluctantly take part in.

In this game, you'll build an army of troops and a company of heroes from a total of 12 class and subclass trees. Some choices include the Cavalier Tree that dons heavy armor and can take charge in battles and the Warmancer Tree that casts deadly elemental spells on enemies. There's also the Apothecary Tree that specializes in potions and arcane magic that can harm or heal.

There's the story of a young girl with the power of Atlas who goes on a secret adventure of her own to learn more about the world's magic and train to control hers. As of this writing, the game has a vaguely planned release window some time in 2022. As such, you'll have to wait a bit more for more news and updates via its Steam page.

All in all, Arcadian Atlas is a nice little game to consider if you're into tactical RPGs with turn-based combat mechanics.
