In Alpha League HD, a player must choose from a selection of heroes to champion them on the battlefield. The selected heroes must be built with 12 combat genres to fight against other players or bots. Each map boasts different environments and foes, making it necessary to change strategy accordingly and adapt to the corresponding landscape to win every battle. 

Each character has unique active and passive skills, allowing you to compose a team of heroes that complement each other, balancing their strengths and weaknesses. Specific active skills have longer cooldown periods than others, making skill management an essential aspect of strategic planning. Heroes must be upgraded to perform better on the battlefield and secure victory or customized with items purely for cosmetic purposes. 

Since the game focuses heavily on real-time strategy and combat, you must know their weak and strong points and make tactical decisions during battle. Knowing the other team’s heroes and their composition’s abilities can also be an advantage, as it lets you anticipate the other party’s possible offensive and defensive moves. However, the only drawback to this game is its clustered UI.
