Version 1.0.9 of Airships: Lost Flotilla introduces several updates aimed at improving accessibility, especially for players with red-green colorblindness. Enemy projectiles now feature a dark outline, making them easier to distinguish from the predominantly green backgrounds. Two new highlighting modes have also been added, allowing enemies and their shots to appear in red, while wreckage can be set to either blue or green for better visual separation.

In addition, players will notice clearer visibility when setting background visibility to zero, as the background now darkens to help foreground elements stand out. The update also fixes several issues, including the pause menu not appearing correctly after a level, layout problems with captain selectors when many captains are available, and audio-related crashes. It also corrects the default selection of the exit button on the main menu, making for a more polished and user-friendly experience overall.
