AI: Somnium Files is an adventure and mystery game that follows a gruesome series of murders where the victims’ left eye is gouged out. Players are introduced to Detective Kaname Date who is in charge of the investigation of the serial killings. With his artificial eye that can see the memories of other people, he is able to extract information from eyewitnesses. AI: Somnium Files’ gameplay is composed of puzzles, lots of side quests, and decision-making where the choices you make will affect how the story will develop an end. Players who would like to try different routes do not need to start from the very beginning of the game and instead can just go to the branching points and begin from there.
