There are over 50 unique bosses and enemies that you’re going to encounter — but don’t fret, your heroes gain new skills each time you complete a level, making them even more powerful. 

In addition to skills gained, you can also collect drops called nanomachines to gain access to more weapons. There are over 20 distinct weapons that you can find, and each one has different elemental attributes. Slot items are also found inside presents scattered around. These items provide temporary buffs per level, such as increased health, movement speed, and elemental damage.

The game is best experienced with a controller, since the movement mechanics are designed around twin-stick controls, utilizing joysticks to aim and fire your weapons. Although a keyboard and mouse work too, they aren’t as engaging as using the controller. While the game boasts a lot of features, the core gameplay loop does become repetitive once you’ve gone through several levels already.
