The app works by automatically downloading firmware updates to the Cummins ECM through the Zonar V4 telematics box installed in the vehicle. Once it's safe to update, the driver launches the Zonar OTAir app, scans the vehicle's unique VIN QR code, or enters it manually, and approves the calibration to initiate the update, allowing the Cummins-powered vehicle to get back on the road swiftly.
