Zero Recs is a free Chrome add-on developed by Michaelm that aims to help users block algorithm-recommended content on supported websites.

Many websites have addictive feeds that can be difficult to resist. With Zero Recs, users can selectively block these algorithm-recommended feeds while still being able to access individual posts or content they need. For example, on Reddit, users can block the homepage and subreddit pages while still being able to view and interact with individual posts. This allows users to maintain their digital well-being and avoid getting caught in a never-ending cycle of addictive content.

Currently, Zero Recs supports blocking algorithm-recommended content on Reddit and Youtube. The developer plans to add support for more websites in the future, ensuring users have control over their online experience. This Chrome add-on provides a simple and effective solution for those looking to limit their exposure to algorithm-driven content on supported sites.
