Zamek w Kórniku, a castle with a rich history dating back to the 15th century, stands as a remarkable testament to the Górka family and other dignitaries who graced its halls. The ancient walls and cellars have witnessed the footsteps of historical figures like Henryk Walezy on his way to his coronation in Krakow.

Legend has it that in the dark of night, the ghostly figure of Teofila z Działyńskich roams the halls of the Kórnik castle. She oversaw the 18th-century reconstruction of the residence and the creation of a French-style garden, now the oldest Polish arboretum. Today, the castle houses a museum brimming with historical artifacts, as well as valuable ethnographic and natural collections brought from Australia and Oceania by its last owner, Władysław Zamoyski.
