To use YouTube Chapter Editor, simply navigate to the edit page of your video and click on the extension icon located in the top-right toolbar of Google Chrome. The editing tool will then be embedded in your video player. While playing the video, you can press the "Add" button to add a chapter and enter a title. The automatically generated text can be copied and pasted anywhere in the video description field.

This add-on offers several useful functions, including the ability to skip 5, 10, and 60 seconds before and after the video. You can also jump to the start time of any added chapter by pressing the left play button. Additionally, chapters can be adjusted in 1-second increments by clicking the up and down icons. If needed, added chapters can be deleted as well. In cases where the YouTube requirement for enabling chapters is not met, an error message will be displayed.
