The YFU App, developed by Deutsche Youth For Understanding Komitee e.V., is a two-part program designed for participants and parents involved in exchange programs, as well as prospective host families in Germany.

For participants in the exchange program, the YFU App provides all the necessary information for a successful exchange, constantly updated with new content such as preparation seminars, details about host families, and travel information. Parents can find important information regarding visas, insurance, and more. Users will receive push notifications to stay informed about new content.

The YFU App also serves as a resource for potential host families, answering frequently asked questions and allowing them to connect with exchange students directly. Host families will receive personal information about their assigned student, be informed about events, and have the ability to manage their own calendar for the exchange year. Push notifications will keep them updated on new content.

To register for the program, interested individuals can easily sign up within the YFU App. All user data is encrypted and securely stored by the organization, with passwords only stored in encrypted form.
