yapbook is a Chrome extension designed to facilitate public discussions on web pages you are visiting. By adding a discussion thread to any supported page, users can easily engage in conversations about the content they are viewing. The extension features a toolbar button that, when clicked, opens a dedicated yapbook thread for that specific page, allowing users to sign in and participate in discussions seamlessly. This functionality encourages community interaction and sharing of opinions directly related to the content of the website.

The extension prioritizes user privacy by only sending page context when the toolbar button is activated or when the optional on-page button is turned on. It is important to note that yapbook does not support pages such as chrome://, local files, or private browser pages, ensuring that discussions remain focused on public content. With its free license, yapbook adds a unique layer of social engagement to the browsing experience.
