xChat is a Chrome add-on designed to enhance the experience of managing X (Twitter) Direct Messages. This tool provides a full-screen, keyboard-driven interface that allows users to navigate their DMs quickly and efficiently, transforming the way they interact with messages. The interface is distraction-free, utilizing the entire window to present a compact and scannable conversation list. Users can easily jump into conversations with simple keyboard shortcuts, such as using 'j' and 'k' to move through messages and 'R' to reply instantly, making DM management feel seamless and intuitive.

As a UI layer rather than a standalone client, xChat integrates directly with the existing X session, ensuring that all sending, syncing, and encryption are handled by X itself. This means no additional logins or configurations are necessary, maintaining user privacy as the tool does not track or collect any data. With features like a quick search for conversations and a dedicated toolbar icon for quick access, xChat stands out as an efficient solution for users looking to optimize their messaging experience on X.
