Word Juice is a free word puzzle mobile video game that lets you string letters to complete crosswords. Similar to other word connection games, you simply tap and hold the screen to connect the given letters and unlock words that can be legitimately made with them. Aside from playing, the game also has various ways to earn tokens such as daily login rewards, a lottery mini-game, and watching ads to double your coins.

Letter by letter

Word Juice is pretty straightforward with its gameplay. You’re given 3 or more letters in each level that form a circle on the bottom half of your screen. The top half contains the blank crossword. You need to fill it in with the correct words. Take note that you can form words that aren’t in the crossword. These go to the Extra Word chest on the bottom right instead, letting you earn coins.

The levels are practically endless here. If you’re stuck, you can buy lightbulbs to unlock a random letter on the crossword, bombs to reveal a whole word you chose on the board, or arrows to just show a letter. You can also shuffle the placement of the letters on the circle to give you new ideas and angles. Sometimes, a flying drone will pass by on the screen. Tapping it will gift you rewards.

However, if you’re tired of how easy the main game is, you can try out the challenging Daily Puzzles. This mode will give you 10 hard rounds that consist of longer word compositions, more letters, and fewer words accepted on the board. You can also buy the three types of hints here. Completing three, six, and ten rounds will reward you with crystals that can be used to play the wheel lottery.

Can get boring after a while

Word Juice can be quite the addicting game due to its simple gameplay. However, it still has some frustrating issues. For one, the circular placement of the letters makes it hard to connect letters sometimes—either messing up your spelling or resetting the word entirely. You need to constantly shuffle to avoid this. Another issue is the lack of other game modes or aesthetic items that would make winning coins more rewarding.
