Wolfenstein 3D is a classic first-person shooter developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game is set during World War II and follows the story of an American spy, William Blaskowicz, who is captured by the SS and held captive in the Wolfenstein castle. Blaskowicz must escape the castle, foil the Nazi plan, and ultimately kill Adolf Hitler.

The game consists of three episodes, each of which is divided into 10 levels. The levels are designed as labyrinths built up from rooms and open spaces separated by walls and doors. The players must navigate through the levels, find secret rooms with bonus items, and fight unique and buffed up enemies, including SS soldiers, mutants, and guard dogs.
