WoeUSB is a system utility program that allows you to create your own bootable Windows installation USB storage device from an existing Windows Installation disc or disk image. Created by slacka, WoeUSB is a fork project of Congelli501's own WinUSB software, upgrading the original program’s design after it was stuck for several years of inactivity. WoeUSB is a tool that helps you set up your very own portable Windows installer on a USB flash drive rather than a mere CD or DVD so it’s much more convenient to carry and pass around.

As you know, there are a good number of computer desktop operating systems that are available on the market today. From the ever-flexible Windows to the highly-secure macOS, these operating systems are usually already installed on their respective hardware from the same computer developer. Because of the divide, however, virtual machines or emulators for computer operating systems are now pretty popular—enabling you to boot up another operating system within the confines of your usual operating system.

However, installing this new OS requires you to have its installer in the first place. For an operating system like Windows, it can’t exactly just be downloaded off the internet. Most of the time, OS installers are placed into CDs and DVDs because they’re official software you must purchase. However, putting them in USD sticks or flash drives seem to be much more convenient if you want the installer to be portable. Thus, programs designed for such a purpose were developed.

WinUSB by Congelli501 is one and had been popular in the past, but now WoeUSB has been forked from it and is an improved version. It comes with its own GUI wrapper, enabling you to use either that or command-line to run the bootable installer. WoeUSB supports Legacy/MBR-style/IBM PC-compatible bootmode and Native UEFI booting.
