The puzzles are challenging without being frustrating, adding to the overall immersive experience. Visually, the game is stunning. The northern landscape, with its rugged shores and icy waters, creates an atmosphere of isolation and determination.  

The art style, influenced by Alan Wake, captures the eerie beauty of the northern seas, with dramatic lighting and weather effects adding to the tension and mood. However, the slow pacing may not appeal to players looking for fast action. Some puzzles can feel too easy for those seeking a higher challenge. The sailing mechanics, while realistic, can feel repetitive after long sessions.

A new demo

After spending some time conducting closed and public playtest programs, WILL: Follow the Light has released a new demo, with the goal of providing a preview of what players can expect ahead of its official launch. It boasts over 30 minutes of never-before-seen gameplay that even early testers were not privy to, which is exciting news if you have curious about this game for a while now.

There’s also a new cinematic trailer to go along with the new demo, which features actual in-game footage. It introduces its main protagonist, Will, his story, and the grand adventure he is about to embark on. You will also see various locations throughout your playthrough previews, as well as be introduced to the game’s mechanics, which include puzzle elements as part of the core gameplay.
