This mod adds a new activation option "What's Your Name?" to settlers. It has been made optional so if you don't want to use it you don't have to. There is also a holotape to disable the option, as usual craftable at the Chem Station under Utilities.

The main reason for this change is that the current mechanism to generate names is not very reliable and sometimes it can give the same name to different people. With this new option you can generate names more reliably.

You can now disable the prompt from the holotape or the MCM menu. Afterward, you can look at a settler and press your hotkey. There will be a slight delay until the name appears.

You can now use a hotkey to rename a settler. There are three ways of doing this:

The first is to use a crafting recipe to make an item called "Ask Settler Name" from the Chemistry Workbench -> Utility, then bind it to a hotkey like any AID item.

The second is to use the MCM menu. You will need to go to the Whats Your Name submenu.

The third is to use the Fo4 Hotkeys.
