Islam was revealed to Prophet Muhammad in the Arabian Peninsula in the 7th century and is the oldest religion in the world. Today, Islam is practiced by over 1.2 billion people in the Arab world and approximately four billion people worldwide.

Islam teaches that God is the creator of the universe and the originator of all life. He created the universe and mankind from nothing and He will ultimately judge mankind on the Day of Resurrection.

The Quran, Islam's sacred book, contains guidance for people in their lives. It contains the basic principles of Islam and the laws that Muslims are required to follow.
