Wet Hoops is a free game inspired by poolside basketball. All you need to do is to throw the ball through the hoop. This is a job that takes timing and good aim if you want to finish the level without slipping up and falling in.

In contrast to games that provide a complete virtual basketball experience, such as NBA 2K Mobile Basketball and NBA Jam HD, Wet Hoops is simpler. There is no element of competition, simply the challenge of dunking the ball.

Take aim and throw

The gameplay of Wet Hoops is straightforward. In each gaming level, your job is to throw a ball into a hoop. If you press the screen, a direction bar will appear and allow you to take aim. However, don't take too long because your character will end up falling into the swimming pool, and you'll need to restart the level.

Extra dunks

As you play through the game, you'll find some levels add extra challenges. In certain cases, you'll not only have to throw the ball but then complete a second challenge. This is timing-based and has an onscreen bar that must be at the right moment when you press the screen if you want a good dunk.

Customize with unlockable skins

While the graphics are somewhat basic, Wet Hoops allows you to customize certain elements with unlockable skins. These are granted for completing levels, changing virtual cash, or watching adverts. Skins provide new costumes for your character, new designs for the ball, new decorations for the hoop, and even new content for the pool.

Suited to casual play

Wet Hoops is not especially sophisticated, and its gameplay can get repetitive. However, given that it was clearly designed as a free, casual game for quick bursts of play, this is not a major issue. The unlockable character and prop skins help make it last a little longer.
