Secure Web Authentication with Web eID Extension

Web eID is a Firefox extension designed for secure online authentication and document signing. It allows users to utilize digital documents such as ID cards, digital IDs, and residence permits for seamless access to various e-services. To function correctly, the Web eID native application must also be installed on the user's computer, ensuring a complete and secure experience.

This extension enhances online security by transmitting the user's certificate and the URL of the originating website during authentication and signing processes. With a subscription-based license, Web eID prioritizes user privacy and data protection, providing comprehensive details about the personal data it manages in its Data Protection Terms.
