The Waco Guide to Psychopharmacology in Primary Care is a comprehensive tool developed by the faculty of the Waco Family Medicine Residency in collaboration with the Massachusetts General Hospital Psychiatry Academy. This free iPhone app is designed to assist primary care clinicians in managing mental and behavioral health conditions in communities where psychiatric specialty resources are limited.

The Waco Guide provides evidence-based and expert-driven recommendations for adult, pediatric, geriatric, perinatal and women's mental health, and substance use disorders. It covers a wide range of conditions, including major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, insomnia, and ADHD, among others.

With a focus on integrated and collaborative care practices, the app offers a common language and framework for clinicians. It also takes into account cost and medication availability, providing titration schedules, monitoring recommendations, and a list of side effects for each treatment tool.
