Welcome to the TOLEDO CATHEDRAL chapter of the Visit app, where you can discover one of the world's main heritage treasures - "the DIVES TOLEDANA". This app allows you to explore the Cathedral, which is built on the site of the city's first religious temple in Roman times and the later Visigothic basilica.

For 300 years, this place was home to the great mosque "aljama" during the Muslim rule, before being readapted and consecrated to Christian worship inTwo years later, it was granted the title of "Catedral Primada" for being the first diocese in the former Kingdom of Spain.

Although the current Gothic factory of the Cathedral wasn't started until 1227, under the archbishopric of Don Rodrigo Jiménez de Rada and the reign of Fernando III the Saint, it has since become one of the world's main heritage treasures - the rich Toledo "the DIVES TOLEDANA".
